... cleared my head and throat of being sick. I lost my voice today and was a little worried for testing but I knew I could do what was set, I accepted it wont be as great, but I still will be good. I haven't trained for nothing my whole life.

I had the BEST pre-season ever! I am so happy with week 1's testing results. After all testings I was one of the 5 girls who passed absolutely everything! & I won the Beep test!.
Everyday the team ...

... in some sleepy little towns - generally great roads to ride. If you snoop around the site you will find it's pretty sophisticated - on the home page, just keep refreshing & you will see guys out there all day sending in pics and being scored.

And one last thing on the court-houses, then I'll move on... the inspiration for this theme was a senior IBA member who rode his motorcycle to EVERY county courthouse in the contiguous US... here he ...

... a lovely lunch by the beach, in a little independant called Camille's - recommended, if ever. The trafiic around the major beach towns slowed us down quite a bit and with the weather forecast we decided to definitely head north when we could, so we cracked onto Mobile, Alabama. We did this heading north out of Destin onto a new piece of highway passed an Airforce Base which meant we crossed over "Special Forces Road"(!) and blasted up to the I10 ...

... it is not in the normal RV park guides, there are only a few other people here, which is nice, too. John walked to one of the nearby restaurants and got some food to supplement our dinner of leftovers. The restaurant is called Huddle House and seems to be a chain that specializes in breakfast, so we plan to have breakfast there tomorrow. We enjoy trying out the restaurant chains in the South that we do not have at home.
