... at excessive present pile-age). I think dinner was 2 minute noodles - very low key. This was mostly because we didn't realise that all the shops shut at 2pm and don't open again till Boxing Day. Oops. Good thing we have plenty of weetabix as emergency backup!

Tallis apparently scored the fastest time on the practise run but on the timed race he missed the ‘ready set go’ which was given in German and stood there wondering why everyone else had already taken off before working out what had happened. Still he laughed it off and is happy with his snowflake, participatory medal. ...
Once again we enjoy a bit of 'good trip luck' with our destination of choice. Basically – we booked the next 10 days in a bit of a panic (during that yucky phase of the trip we don’t talk about anymore) and mostly made the selection because it was the only thing available at an acceptable price.
