... somewhere around 12:30. After finding our hotel, and giving ourselves the guided tour of downtown it was time for lunch. It was either Subway, or McDonald's, our choice was limited. We decided on Subway, and the adventure began. I had to get the #1 idiot on the island making my sub. I ordered a footlong turkey sub. ... in the middle of the road. This group decided the road was their private spot, and we were not going anywhere. How hysterical it was to watch them bring a large bus to a complete stop. After tying up the road for 10-15 minutes they got bored with us, and let us leave. We had 45 minutes for lunch, and get to our boat tour. Lunch went down so fast we didn't know we ate. We leave tomorrow for the Outer Banks of North Carolina. See you there.

    And the adventure continues,

... recreational area is just 30 miles southwest of Raleigh on route 64. There are day use areas with beaches, three big camping areas – Parker’s Creek, Poplar Point and Crosswinds Campground, hike in camping, group tent camping, and group RV camping. They even have some sites for camping with horses. We stayed at Poplar Point which has 579 sites for RV and tent camping and now 363 of the sites have water and electric hookups. There ...

... but it was a birders paradise! Herons, egrets, ospreys galore. The day ended we a picture perfect sunset over chincoteague bay. We never got the storms here that helped produce the vibrant colors. So my apologies to those in the area who had a wet evening but we sure enjoyed the colors! Tomorrow we may stick around here a little longer to witness a NASA rocket launch. Then it's back to busy beaches as we make our way to Virginia ...
