Idiots In The Rain
... the rain had been today. We decided to drive back to Yungaburra. Arriving there, although it was still raining, it had subsided quite a bit so we decided, seeing as this was our final opportunity in the area, to go and sit like idiots in the rain by the creek to look for the mythical platypus. We were convinced that there were secret cameras somewhere in the trees which were linked up to the local bookie’s where gambling Australians placed ...

He also casually mentioned the stinger suit hire at an extra $6, more for prevention of sunburn than for box ...
The Barrier Reef is truly Great
... air went down to zero... diving with an empty tank is not a good idea. Fortunately the cylinder was re-filled quickly!
I was a bit concerned that my bouyancy would be hard to get with different conditions (still pretty new to this malarkey!) but within seconds I felt totally comfortable down there and just enjoyed every minute.
We saw some amazing fish, including a huge friendly fish that stays under the boat and likes to be tickled ...
