... said not Colombo 11 but 13. Stopped and asked again and again. Finally we arrived. The church was old, there were many plarks on the walls and tombs on the floor. Later we walked trying to find the water but got lost in the Pettah, a sort of paddy's marketplace of produce, and junk. Its alot more dirty and poorer community here, lots of beggers and stares.
We take a tuk tuk to Majestic City for lunch and light shopping, want to check out ...

... After he directed us to the restroom of an Indian restaurant, all of a sudden without asking us whether or not we needed a guide he started to show us around. Which I admit was helpful, he led us to Buddhist and Hindu temples, to an old dutch church and to a Vegetarian restaurant, teaching us thier history as we explored, it just became exhausting when he tried to lead us to shops very insistently that we didnt really want to go to because obviously he was in cahoots ...

... Australians on an Intrepid expedition. Highlight of their Hill Country Tour was having the lodge they had hiked 5 hours to reach, burn to the ground in the middle of the night.They think the fire they had to keep them warm may have had something to do with it. One bloke had some spectacular photos on his phone.

... Indian Gown] and Fabric shops and I was tempted by the fabrics. After a very shortlived walk through the town- stray dogs, dust, and humidity like I had never felt before we decided there really was nothing left to see. We seeked the comfortably airconditioned Sri Lankan Airport we had left. We spent the last 10 hours in an airport, drinking the time away before setting off for Bangkok, this is where the fun began..
