... new' Tuk Tuk and he showed us the sights. We stopped off at one of Sri Lanka's oldest churches, the second floor of a random hotel with view of our ship (plus cranes, cargo and the Costa Deliziosa which was also docked). A small store selling refreshments where he bought us both a Carlsberg for the journey.

We then stopped somewhere random, so we got off and went over this bridge to a small island, surrounded by a lake ...

... square with some nice monuments and also some guys with snakes which Maureen gave a wide berth to ;-) Got back to the ship around 12:30 and dumped the stuff in the cabin and went for lunch in the Orangery. Then we went off and to the small market which always seem to spring up in these ports, got a couple of pressies and then went back on the ship and up to deck 13. Bit warm up there so only there for half an hour or so then a cool dip in the pool ...

We ordered two Lamprais to takeaway and a couple of interesting fruit juices for the walk back. My drink, was a mix of coconut water, lime, mint & a natural syrup, which I have forgotten the name of.
