... photos barely do it justice. We enjoyed it thoroughly. We left downtown as the rain started up again. We went back to Issaquah, the town where Jaclyn works, and we all had dinner together at Ram Brewhouse. We had to wait in the bar for a table. People drink a heck of a lot of beer out here. ... the beaches and resorts - which apparently draw many couples to have their weddings / honeymoon trips here. I won't be going to these areas... the taxi fares there and back not worth it on your own. I'm happy to 'hang around' this port area ....even tho not much here -- or maybe there is -- I'll go out tomorrow and find out -- and post this too. After the long walk around the Forbidden City we were taken to another banquet lunch which was not as good as the other two we went to, there were some dishes that were a little unpalatable, a lot of the fried food was over cooked and not at all nice, plus we couldn't get very much to drink. ... the very few things we didn’t pack were easily acquired along the way.

  • Spending the money to buy a GPS and map updates for the countries we visited. Map performance and accuracy was near-flawless.
  • Paying extra money for the "Economy Comfort" class on the airplane. Seats are not any larger, but legroom and center seat elimination are great (so were the meals and drinks!).
