well i was expecting to be mugged at least by the write ups for this place however it seemed relitivaly safe as any city is! and actaully fairly plesant a nice walk along the river front and up tot the light house and a park full of iguana´s and amazing juice bars. what more could you want from a city?

... could see the entire city of Guayaquil and Samborondon (my town) too! It was so pretty, especially at night with all of the lights! The neighborhood was up on a hill, so we had to climb tonnnnnnnnns of stairs to get up to where she lived. Well worth it though! On our way to her house, we were walking down the street, and a man yelled "PAN DE YUCA!" really loudly out of his car as he passed us. I was confused, but everyone starting laughing really hard. ... everyone clapped. Pretty weird, I felt like I was being sold! My host mother, Teresa, and I left with my luggage, and she brought me to an internet cafe so I could skype my parents quickly. Her and I made pretty good conversation! I'm lucky she speaks some english, so that there isn't a total wall with communication, you know?
