... airplanes, but even I was impressed. The Spruce Goose is so large that the wings had to be trimmed to fit into the enormous building. I was disappointed because after paying $24 to get into the museum, they wanted additional $$ to go into the cockpit where you got your picture taken. Then I figure they’d have charged us for the picture. To think that it only flew for a few minutes 70 feet off the ground. ...

... the border crossing limitations, we likely would have bought a case of his wines! Needless to say, he and Dougie had a great time yakking about wines and wine-making, grape-growing, etc, etc! I also enjoyed talking with Dyson because he had tons of info for us about places to see and things to do when we go to Spain and Portugal in the fall, so he wrote it all down for us and I've transferred it to my maps and notes!

... down hill - about 8 miles of windy, twisty horseshoe bends and 5% grade! Finally to the bottom and now I am in SMOKE! There are fires all around here somewhere! Visibility down to about 3 blocks for the next 30 or more miles! I was going to stay in Salmon for the night but just toooo smoky so drove on to Challis.
