... airplanes, but even I was impressed. The Spruce Goose is so large that the wings had to be trimmed to fit into the enormous building. I was disappointed because after paying $24 to get into the museum, they wanted additional $$ to go into the cockpit where you got your picture taken. Then I figure they’d have charged us for the picture. To think that it only flew for a few minutes 70 feet off the ground. ...

... the border crossing limitations, we likely would have bought a case of his wines! Needless to say, he and Dougie had a great time yakking about wines and wine-making, grape-growing, etc, etc! I also enjoyed talking with Dyson because he had tons of info for us about places to see and things to do when we go to Spain and Portugal in the fall, so he wrote it all down for us and I've transferred it to my maps and notes!

... and massages, sometimes they have package deals. Guests do have the option of staying the night at Mcmenamins Grand Lodge. We did not, it is a bit on the expensive side, but would be good for a special occasion. Especially, if it was a time when there is a good concert there.

Both places are definitely worth return trips! It's an added bonus that they are so close-by, less than an hour's ...

... never ate them all. Only one more place on our list of location we wanted to do which was 'Carver cafe' but it closed at 3. So we had to stay over another night. Went and got ourselves some beers to go with our doughnuts and found a campsite. We made a lovely fire, cooked chicken, rice, veg, baked (fired) potato and bread rolls for tea which was so nice. Always a treat to make something healthy! Now I'm not sure how it happened – but we ended up ...

... and in the van. Watered all the flowers outside again-lots of them here. But fun to do in this pretty yard. Fixed some lunch and around 3 Gary and Sharon came home. We all lazed around here and then went to West Salem for dinner at Rock-N-Robin-not bad! Back home to talk and finally off to bed.

August 4th-Saturday - Up early-Gary had gone earlier to the Steam Up so Sharon and I had snack breakfast, talked a while and decided to go the Bi-Mart for a couple ...
