      13 hours on the road and we pulled into the driveway at 9:30 p.m. Wasn't that bad. Had some good Mexican food in Las Cruces. Place called Chilitos. I really do not like Texas. It is ugly.       ... was a very peaceful event, everyone sitting on the rocks waiting for that moment that the sun finally slips down behind the mountains. Tomorrow we will be heading for Monument Valley.
      PS I had to visit the toilet at 4am this morning and thought that a head torch would not be necessary as it was a fairly moonlit night. Wrong! I spent 15 minutes wondering around the campsite, a bit of a worry being as we went to sleep with the sound of coyotes howling.

      How nice we are all still here and the world lives on.. some of you may know today, 21st December 2012, was the last day of the mayan calender and there is a huge following of "preppers" and the like who believed today would see the end of the world... thank goodness they were wrong..
