      ... right in. The views are spectacular and we travelled from 6000 ft to 8000 ft back to 4000 ft over the course of the journey. There must be some kind of special power in this town as the brownie with ice cream which I shared with Poppy was delicious. The area is in the centre of Coconino National Forest and there were heaps of lodges etc for those who wish to hike the many trails in the park. See ...

      How nice we are all still here and the world lives on.. some of you may know today, 21st December 2012, was the last day of the mayan calender and there is a huge following of "preppers" and the like who believed today would see the end of the world... thank goodness they were wrong..

      Hardly seems like eight days since our last entry. We spent the first few days at Desert Mountain getting everything organized for the rehearsal dinner and party Friday evening – putting up rope lights and finishing touches on centerpieces and other decorations.
