... So, naturally, we had to investigate further. It turns out they give quite the elaborate tour of the facilities, including seeing the famous Clydesdales and their fancy-schmancy stable which even has a huge brass chandelier! ... went to the race and they do it well after 99 years of running the race. Buses take people in from points all over the city and return which made it easy.
Talking to race fans most had been going every year for decades and can see why. The track gives you a real buzz with the huge crowd and cars racing around at 221 mph only inches from each other. Plenty of action but all over so quick you need the big screens for the replays ...
