Anita & Matt took me on a local hike too. It was very pretty and I got to nerd out on the flowers. The most beautiful scenery we’ve seen on this trip so far was over Kebler Pass to Crested Butte and then along the Black Canyon past Curecanti. The dirt road tops out just ...

We were able to reach the BMW Dealer on Thursday morning and he was able to work the K1100 into their schedule. The tech determined that we were correct with our roadside work and the fan motor was bad. It's was the good news, the bad news was that they did not have one in stock. The technician working on the bike was a K bike rider and had a spare fan motor at home, and he would go and get it on his afternoon break. At about 3:00 he runs home and comes back ...

... on this day were in the mid 80's and lower 90' so we were operating in a relatively cool desert area. Our next gas stop went OK, but by the time we got yo Delta, UT we knew we had to do something to continue on. We took a break and tried to determine exactly was the problem. We began to troubleshoot the system and found we had no jumper wires to use for testing the motor. We talked to the ...
