... floods and devastation. A lot has happened while we've been away but we have been proud of the way our state has rebounded and are moving forward.

We're excited to be getting home tomorrow. We’ve been very fortunate through all our travels and have enjoyed sharing our adventures with our friends and family. We’re glad I wrote the blog because it’s already hard to remember some of the names of places we’ve been!

On the way, I stopped quickly at Thurston Hatcher Falls - there would be no crossing the river now. While I was here, I met Tim, who wanted to go to Big Falls on Thompson River afterwards. for a car, it may not be ok to go up it with an RV. Good choice!
Backing back we found an alternative route and arrived in one piece

So, I hope I managed to entertain you for a little while. I wonder what lengths an extrovert like yourself will you go to after five days in bed? Should I expect to see you at the office on Monday morning, against doctor’s orders? I’d hazard a yes. Even I could go stir crazy in a situation like that.

        See you Monday,

... did. Both stops had views that didn't seem to end! Now it’s time to head to Grandfather Mountain and the Swinging Bridge.

We entered the gate at Grandfather Mountain and the girl at the gate gave Mike a piece of paper that we both needed to read before she would let us in. Mike read it and told me to some degree what it said. Me, not thinking too much of what Mike shared with me, said ok and let’s go. He paid the entrance fee and on we went. ...
