We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. Their country home is located in the heart of Vermont, complete with beautiful rolling ...

... arrived just in time for Thomas to start boarding. I hugged them goodbye with at least the promise of seeing them at their wedding in May!

On the way home, I decided I was deserving of a trip back to Freeport for some retail therapy for all of my driving and picked up a few goodies for me and Mark.
