Today was a day of travel, and we went from Carlsbad, N.M. to Kerrville, Tx.
We could spend several days here in the hill country of Texas, but we are trying to connect with a family member in Houston and are running short on time, so this may be next year's trip.

We found a great little campground that sits ...

      More heat

Well, here we are at Miller Creek in Johnson city. This is the site of our Sep Renegade rally. So far there are three couples here, but it's only Monday. More will be coming in all the way til Thursday. Think this is going to be a small rally, according to the office, there are only 17 coaches reserved at this time. We arrived about 3pm, back into the heat. We are using the air conditioner for the first time in 2 weeks.

We left Fort Stockton this morning about 9:30. ...

Another long day on the road almost six hours out of the grazing plains of New Mexico to the oil fields of Texas.Overcast sky's and rain were with us for most of New Mexico but disappeared once we crossed the state line. Scattered over the country side like prehistoric dinosaurs, oil wells pump the black gold day and night.Texas produces about 2.8 million barrels a day that's almost 35% of all ...

Jeff's family headed back to Newtown PA today. Dad toolk them to the airport at 6:30 AM. They arrived home safely, happy to see temperatures in the 70's. Did you know Giselle hates the heat? No one will ever question her love for her niece. She brought her whole family to TX at the end of July just to see Ailish. We love you too, Giselle! No one can understand like mothers how important it is to get the whole family together. Doing it in Texas was extra ...

Day 8 Sea World San Antonio

Left for San Antonio to visit Sea World. This was one of the places the children really wanted to go while they were in Texas. Sea World in late July in San Antonio is not for wimps! The temperature was 100 degrees all day! We walked from one end of the park to the other several times to see specific shows and we never heard one complaint from any of them. They are great children! The Sea World misters were a life saver and the best ...
