      ... the pilots seemed to be able to manage everything well.

      All I am trying to say that the weather has been bad in Jakarta at least since Saturday, December 27. So, it is also possible that the bad weather story in Surabaya is true since. The area near the hotel where we stayed at in Jakarta was flooded due to the rain falling almost non-stop. Please pray for the passengers, flight crews, and the families left at home and surrender everything to the Almighty ...

      ... make sure we are not missing deadlines. Called the banks. Spoke to Greg for hours. Stopped the mail until we're back. Making arrangements with mom for Winda to drop off Freya. Emailed all our neighbors to watch over our house while we are gone. Getting ready to miss our little puppy, but excited to see my in-laws!

      ... At this stage it was cold but a bearable 1 degree. Once we got into the stadium we were pleased with the seats that we got but quickly realized why they call it the 'frozen tundra' for a reason. When it reached -7 degrees we were struggling to keep warm and frequently took refuge in the bathrooms which had heaters and hot water. Packers won 26-21 in a close game.       ... see as many museums, churches and cathedrals as possible. A trip to Versailles, evening cruise on the Seine, obligatory Eiffel Tower photos and more are also on the list.       ... Went for a drive in the afternoon to see the old cheese factory run by John and Eva Kriewaldt. went to a number of cemeteries and took pictures of headstones. Will need time to work out where they all fit in.

      Today Sunday we are all off to Upper Peninsular (UP) for a couple of day. May not have internet and probably no phone. we have no mobile phone here as At&T is not received.
