Historical Traveler Reviews Frances Street Bottle Inn Key West
Friendly Staff
I have stayed at the Bottle Inn numerous times and have a great trip every time. The staff is always friendly and they make you feel at home. It is a few blocks from Duval but I like the walk. I will stay there again. Good coffee also.
Two big thumbs up for the Bottle Inn!
We spent two nights in room #3 in early November, we could not have been more pleased! We loved the location, the neighborhood is beautiful, the service was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the bright and airy atmosphere. The condition of the inn was excellent. I was somewhat concerned about the lack of on-site parking. I had emailed Mary Beth before booking, she assured me that locating parking was not a problem. Our experience confirmed this, finding nearby street parking was a breeze. We parked our car right across the street and did not get back into the car until we checked out. Room #3 is their smallest room and the room with the lowest rate. It has a very comfortable Queen bed, a private bath two or three steps across the hall, robes were provided for making the hall crossing. The room has a lovely semi-private sitting area with rattan chairs and table on the 2nd floor balcony overlooking Southard St. Like any city or destination, not everything about Key West is good. It has been our experience that Key West takes some time, research and exploring on foot to discover. If we would have stayed at the Bottle Inn on our first trip to the island, it would have saved time and greatly improved our experience. The owner and staff of the Bottle Inn are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, Mary Beth gave us an overview of the area and provided us with maps. Information on restaurants, attractions and activities is provided in the lobby area and in the rooms.
The food at breakfast and at the Saturday night social hour were excellent and should definitely be taken advantage of.
We will definitely stay here again.
Best location & staff in KW
Excellent location-far enough off of Duvall to be quiet, but everything is just a pleasant stroll away. The most gracious & welcoming porch in town--perfect for people watching. Rooms are light and airy. MaryBeth will make you feel so comfortable, and be sure to take advantage of Dennis & Marketa's activity recommendations. We're repeat customers and always shall be....
Our favorite oasis
My husband and I have spent considerable time vacationing in Key West over the years. We found our place in paradise when we started staying at the Frances Street Bottle Inn. We have been there several times and will be returning this winter. We think that you can't find better value for your dollar than here. The staff (Dennis and Marketta) are wonderful--they try to anticipate your needs and go all out to make sure your requests are fulfilled. We love sitting on the big front porch sipping a glass of wine at the happy hour Mary Beth puts on. She is a charming and gracious hostess and it is so nice to stay at an establishment whose operation is overseen daily by the owner. The rooms are clean and well appointed, breakfast is plentiful and the happy hour has to be the best around. Duval St. is a short walk away. This place is great!
We had a great time at the Frances Street Bottle Inn.
Our romantic vacation to Key West was wonderful. And the Frances Street Bottle Inn, which was highly recommended by a friend who recently visited Key West, was the perfect place to stay. MaryBeth, Marketa and Dennis gave us personalized attention and help us plan each days activities and evening diner chooses. We loved the Italian restaurant "La Trot" which was recommended to us by MaryBeth. The rooms are quite, clean and comfortable. The Inn is five or six blocks to Duval Street so bring comfortable shoes. We will be back to Key West and will be staying at the Frances Street Bottle Inn.
BEST FOR COUPLES
Stayed during Fantasy Fest. Rooms were clean and service was great.
Great for couples looking for something quiet.
Loved Frances Street Bottle Inn
Mary Beth is a gracious hostess and very good at helping you to find and arrange to visist all the attractions. The room was small for the price but clean and neat and all we really needed. All we needed was a clean bed and shower and that was all there.
The Social hour on Friday and Saturday is a wonderful touch.
We would love to stay there again. Dennis and Marketa were also very helpful.
Back for Another Visit
Just returned from our fifth visit to the FSBI in the past four years. Simply, excellent! Each visit, the staff seems to anticipate every need even before you ask and are flexible and energetic in accomodating all your requests. Their recommendations on restaurants, bars, sites, and activities are right on target. Excellent location. Secluded and quiet, yet convenient to everything. We highly recommend.
A great place to stay
Staying at FSBI was a wonderful experience. The staff is very attentive and helpful, there is a nice breakfast spread in the morning, the location is great, the bed in our room was very comfortable, and the bike rentals are reasonable. Don't pick up lunch or a snack at the Five Brothers corner mart- the food was SO bad!
Great time visiting Key West.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Bottle Inn. The staff was very friendly and the location couldn't be beet. We slept well each noight. Six blocks from busy and often loud Duval Street.
