    Left unit at 6am, tube to train station, then train to Gatwick Airport. I admit, I'm so very anxious about being on the plane. Got a bit teary & cramps in my stomach. I'm really not looking forward to the flight home. Apparently in France where we will be staying will be a balmy 38 deg today. Aggghhh We arrived safe n sound in Bordeaux France.     ... had some lunch. Went past the National Portrait Gallery so I dropped in and spent an hour with kings and queens.

    Then to Trafalgar Square to take some photos.

    Lastly I decided to catch the train to KIngs Cross station to get a photo of Platform 9 3/4 for Meg. Of course it looks nothing like it does in the Harry Potter movies!

    Back to the hotel to get changed and then back in to Leicester Square for a night at the ...

    Chinese New Year
    Today London is celebrating Chinese New Year, which are, apparently, the biggest celebrations outside of China.

    I started in Trafalgar Square where they were finalising the stage for the performances and entertainment from 12pm. This is also where the parade started at 10am. Beginning at Trafalgar, the parade wove amongst the inner streets of London before ending in China Town.
