After wandering around these and having a late lunch I decided to comply with the tourist norms and follow every other man and his dog up to the royal observatory. It was nice to finally understand where the home of GMT was (here was me hoping it was some exotic land in Europe like Lichtenstein), just another suburb of London. ... had some lunch. Went past the National Portrait Gallery so I dropped in and spent an hour with kings and queens.

Then to Trafalgar Square to take some photos.

Lastly I decided to catch the train to KIngs Cross station to get a photo of Platform 9 3/4 for Meg. Of course it looks nothing like it does in the Harry Potter movies!

Back to the hotel to get changed and then back in to Leicester Square for a night at the ...

... past Westminster & Big Ben, down Whitehall, along Pall Mall, around BP House, down Constitution Hill and through Belgravia, past the Natural History Museum and Knightsbridge then onto Heathrow - a summary of our week really. Check in done...and a big <> when the bag weights came in under - they even weighed the carry-on!! ...and so ends our little sojourn as we head home to ...
