    ... we had hot drinks and I did what any good astronomer would do...made a bag of popcorn!

    We decided at 8pm to drive and check out some dark areas that would be good to view it from but quickly realised that the end of Charlotte’s driveway was the clearest view we’d had so back we went – popcorn already long gone and took our positions.

    Ok we started the day in TN, VA, WVA, MD, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA. 9 states in one day. Thanks to the slave driver on a mission Nora.     ... my sister Kathy and her family ( very busy one at that) and look forward to seeing them.
    The leaves here in Woods Hole are all brown- the hurricane in late August killed them off with the salt water and high winds. I hear the colors are still magnificent inland, so I hope to catch the tail end of that.
