    After checking all our lists we left Buckhorn at 11:30.     Driving was smooth with a few delays through Central Toronto but we definitely missed being in any rush hour traffic.    Got through the Canada/US border without a hitch.   Thanks to our Nexus cards we were able to sail through and not wait in line for a moment.    Roads had no snow so driving was a pleasure.   That 6 feet of snow in Buffalo is all gone!   ...

    I followed secondary roads and the countryside wasn’t at all what I’d expected. There were lots of wetlands and acreages with huge uncultivated fields. There were lots of little towns along the way and long stretches of hardwood forest and very few straight stretches. I’d never really envisioned it but it wouldn’t have been that if I had.
