After getting off the ferry we searched for a rest stop nearby. First time washing up in a truck stop bathroom, forgot a towel so had to try and maneuver drying my face off with the air dryer. Yeahh... just thank god no one walked in. First night sleeping in the big booty mama. We cut out foam mats to fit the windows and folded a blanket over the front seats to ...

After staying in some dirty, smelly motels along our route so far we checked AirBnB to see if there was anything a little nicer in the Adirondacks for some time away from Interstate roads. We were heading towards Point O Pines, Rachael's camp that I had heard so much about for the past 4 years, and then deeper into the Adirondack state ...

... from NYC. Perfect meeting point after a 534 mile drive. It is located in the far north east of the Adirondacks and we entered from the south west. It was slow going on back roads for a few hours but the views of the various lakes and mountain ranges were stunning.

We arrived exhausted around 9 pm, had a couple of glasses of wine and hit the hay as we all knew that we had a long weekend ahead of us.
