Well, we didnt have a signal while we were traveling thru the cascades, so now i'll do a regular post. Once we completed the way too short and comfortable ferry ride, it was about 3:30 pm and we needed to look for a place to stay before heading deep into the Cascades on hwy 20. We car camped the night before so a cheap motel seemed right. We stayed at the Skagit Motel (see pic). There was one stretch of rooms for extended stay farm hands i would say, i could see thru the window as ...

This state supplies something like 50-70% of the nation's apples, grown in orchards and hand picked, mostly focused in the hotter/drier parts of the state. After leaving the thick forest of the North Cascades, through the comically Old Western town of Winthrop, the large ...

Fly Away

Airlines: JetBlue and Aer Lingus

Good beginning to a long day. We had breakfast, such as it was at the hotel and caught the hotel shuttle to SeaTac Airport. After checking in, and made the trek through security. Harry got TSA Pre-check, but I was blessed with going through the long security line. He patiently waited, a big smile on his face, since he didn't have to take shoes off, etc.

Our itinerary is for a ...
