Friday, September 18, 2015. PCT day 151. Miles 2561.25-2569.42. (8 miles) The pain in my right quadriceps was less this morning when I awoke and the inflammation decreased. I was able to squat all the way down with out too much pain. Thank you ibuprofen and a good nights. I slept in since I only had 8 miles to go before the 12:30 bus to Stehekin. I took it easy. My leg felt better, but ...

... for it to open. It stayed cloudy all day. No chance to dry my tent. There was only one big climb. After that it was mostly downhill into today's planned camp. With two big climbs for a total of 8600 feet of climbing and 9000 feet of descent in 26 miles, I definitely had my work cut out for me. The best part of today was that it was sunny most of the day. Thank you God. The sunshine on my face felt so good. The clouds did return by 3ish however. But at least it didn't rain. ...

... stopping by 6:20 and having done 28.5 miles by then. Come to think of it, that is good because by tomorrow I should be on the north east side Glacier Peak and not the west side. The peak is a weather magnet, and I heard it is supposed to rain/snow quite a bit by Thursday. I should be further away from that peak by then hopefully. I am not looking forward to tomorrow's 25 mile day. 8,700 feet of climbing and 9000 feet of descent is on the agenda. On that note, ...

... sides, and there was nothing but hay everywhere you looked except for the tiny sliver of road ahead. As we approached Grand Coulee Dam, the scenery abruptly changed for the better. We began to descend into the Columbia River Valley, as the Grand Coulee Dam is on the Columbia River, and creates Roosevelt Lake above it all the way to Canada.
The dam was huge! The Visitors Center was laid out at the base of the dam so you ...
