Hiked a crazy river trail in the morning, made Rainy Pass at 5 pm and were driven in to a wonderful world. The World of the Waylands. Thanks so much guys, too kind. We will return to trail tomorrow morning and start our final approach to the finish line. Another 60.77 miles and we will reach a monument on a border. It is such a unique feeling to see the conclusion of something you have been working towards for so long. We have done it. We are doing it. We are ...

... hole of sorts. Stehekin has cars and roads but only within Stehekin. There is no land network to another town besides hiking and the lake ferry. We're planning to move on to Chelan tomorrow-just 60 miles south. It's been three weeks since we left home. Pretty hard to ...

... come out from nowhere. Yikes! Washington is brutal. 8/30/2014 33 miles (2402.5) *Biggest mileage day yet!* It rained all day on us. We decided to book a hotel to get dried out and back on our feet. 8/31/2014 20 miles (2022.5) We took an alternate route from the PCT to Goldmeyer hotspring. We spent the rest of the day sitting in the natural hotspring. Our legs we thankful for this unexpected treat. We really enjoyed ourselves. I can't remember the last time ...

... the bubbly brought the evening to a close. Thurs was a late start and it appears going forward we are going to be challenged in the mornings with wake up rhythms ranging from 5 am thru 9:30 am. Two hours walking the town and taking in the history of a mining town was exhausting so back to the campground for a Jeff's special salad and a drink. At five pm drove 10 miles to another small town - Twisp - where a fairly modern pub had the Seattle/Green ...
