Sorry folks we have a glitch, I can't change where we are, so probably for the rest of the trip our blog will remain in Vienna but we will travel on. Nuremberg suffered greatly during the war with over 90 % of the old town being extensively damaged. This shows in the reconstruction of authentic replicas. Unlike Regensburg that had not seen much damage and the old wife's tale was that as Regensburg had so many breweries, they were safe. Nuremberg was a city ...

Next thing we knew, we were astounded to be witness to a car show of sorts which was evidently parading around Vienna for the day. Perhaps it is only on the tourist circuit!! This was our first disappointment in our food ...

... home I think! We also did a bit of shopping with Al managing to lighten her wallet a bit.....they really know how to do Christmas decorations here especially the blown glass, getting it home may be a challenge though! I also experienced a glass of their 'punch' that is sold was called Mozart and was full of some sort of strong alcohol topped with whipped cream! I could get use to it! We also went back to visit the old town hall markets called Rathausplatz....with all ...

... to Munich and fly to Barcelona (easily the cheapest and fastest way to cover that much ground). I will spend only one night and the next afternoon there. I'm going to stay with Clara, one of the Catalan girls I wrote about from Prague. I get along with her super well and she is so sweet and so much fun. On the afternoon of the 25th I will take a train to Cuenca, a small, quiet, inland Spanish village. I will stay three nights with ...
