We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. ... and sometimes even a small fire. The only downfall is that the arena that the cars were in is way too small for there to be any good crashes or effective maneuvering. This made the derby last way longer than it should have and the drivers seemed to have a difficult time in the small space.
Overall we had an excellent time at the Cumberland Fair and would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a rich cultural experience. ...
