    ... The last four hours of which -- you know, the mountain part -- were in pouring rain and the last 15 miles -- you know, to the inn part -- were in pouring rain and pitch black darkness on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I literally kissed the ground when I got out of the car. Then drank the better half of a bottle of Gewurztraminer with dinner.

    ... cool enough to turn on the heater. The Biltmore was of course spectacular!  We saw every nook and cranny that we could see.  We ate on the patio overlooking the home and later in Biltmore village had the most delicious ice cream that is made from the original Biltmore recipe.
