... with the "meat fruit" - a chicken liver pâté mousse covered in a bright orange jelly coating to make it look like a mandarin. It was amazing and I would have been quite happy to order it again for main & dessert... Matt had the chicken oysters - also amazing.

We were up fairly early Saturday, so we headed out in search of some breakfast. There seemed to be few options available to us that early, so we ended up at a local cafe. Nothing fancy about the meals, but they did the trick.

Bulgaria – just because of the road works so it will be a great place to drive once it is finished. The road works were more of an issue in part as they were not like British road works were everything is clearly sectioned off. All of a sudden you come along to find yourself next to a lorry pouring tarmac and another time you round a bend and the road has disappeared as it has been dug up.

... the Lobster Smack, a very old pub that was featured in a Charles Dicken's novel. Old roads were trodden, old homes were visited and remembered and a long chat with a man who lived next door to the house that Jac grew up in made us laugh. Wandered about the main shopping strip hunting for the best fish and chip shop in town, according to Jac's sister Deb. We found it, we ate and agreed with her.
