... I've driven an automatic, just so easy! We drove through the hills to the picturesque fishing village of Akaroa. The village has a distinct French influence so we combated this by having a traditional English fish and chips on the beach!

Back at the hire place we were looking at all the potential Kiwi branded campervans on offer, some looking very posh inside and then from round the corner came ours, a Happy Camper ...

... city: busy streets, bars filled with locals and tourists… It’s as if the lively city has been overtaken by hoards of zombies. The earthquake earlier this year struck right in the heart of the city! I was deeply saddened by what I saw. I seriously hope that the city will have a quick recovery and regain its former charm that has attracted so many tourists.
