    Bob's Recap

... what we got was mainly American music. Some of that might have been the touristy places we visited, but even the local/authentic restaurants and enotecas (wine bars) that we stumbled into were playing American music. In Alba, the least touristy place we visited where we heard very little English being spoken, was still filled with music all in English. Even the music festival they had that night, obviously a local event, had an acoustic duo playing songs all in ...

    Meg's Reflections about Italia

... we had this experience, and so grateful for all the amazing memories we have made. And it's good to know that Bob and I can spend two weeks together, and I'm sad about going back to work and being away from him.

He's the best travel partner and the best husband and the best navigator and the best adventurer and the best... well, just everything. There's no one I would have rather shared this trip with than him. I can't wait for so many more adventures with him. ...

I did a trial run this weekend for packing and it turns out these hiking bags are not very big. I know what you're thinking: "Of course, Meg. That's why everyone looked at you like you were crazy when you said you were only packing one hiking backpack."

Okay, so my spatial reasoning leaves much to be desired. BUT - I'm glad I did a trial run, because I realized a few things that were entirely unnecessary.

... I will travel by train to NYC to stay with Ruth for a day before the flight to Copenhagen. We hope to get a little site seeing in while in NY and take in a good Williamsburg restaurant.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that the pending strikes in Iceland will not impact our travels. Of course we are traveling though Iceland on IcelandAir. It's not worth stressing about. We'll ...
