    Today is the day! Jonathan, Keith, Charlie and I are heading to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Jonathan and I did some grocery shopping last night and all I have to say is we are set in the snack department. Dropping Baxter off at Pet Paradise this morning was, as usual, a little sad.     Very stormy day in Charleston, SC today (and for the last 3 days in a row); and forecasted to be stormy right through Wed. So making today a driving day!!!

    Charleston is affectionately known as "the low country", because the streets pretty much flood and close down whenever it rains an inch or more. Brilliant.

    The Chesser Family homesteaded here on the edge of the swamp in the 1800's. They were a hardworking family who used the swamp for food, the land for planting and the buildings to store their food and provisions.     ... for Thanksgiving. They will do some fishing on their yacht. They love to fish for sail-fish and tuna. Leah invited us to stay here and be able to get out of the RV for a bit.
