After leaving the first two towns behind in my highway dust, I opted for a stop in Rawlins, home of a WY Frontier Prison Museum (according to a highway sign). Plus, I also found myself entertained by exaggerating the name "Rawwwwlins" ...

... down the mountain, the rain stopped. We made it safely to our stop. The managers were so helpful, showing us to our spot and helping us park. We took a short walk wearing or heavy coats, and the dogs wearing their sweaters too. We quickly returned to our warm house. We snacked for dinner. Extra blankets and doggie cuddling to stay warm. After a picnic lunch by the lake we traveled on River Road, a four-wheel-drive-access-only road in the park that runs between the Snake River and the Tetons. The Snake River is gorgeous!!!
