... the new 75 mile Columbia River Highway. Little different than our current rest stops! The views of the Columbia Gorge was beautiful. This stop was the beginning of the Mount Hood Scenic Loop. The next stop was Multnomah Falls. We are on overload for mountains and waterfalls but we decided to go see it. Departure day dawned overcast and cool, and we gathered "the troops" for a final breakfast before beginning the two-hour drive to the Portland airport. Our flights were not until mid-afternoon thus allowing time for a leisurely journey with time for photo stops.

... see how this scenario unfolds". No sooner had I gotten those words out of my mouth, the gentleman rights himself and hastily walks off with his friends. Your guess is as good as mine as to why he was lying on the sidewalk.

p.s. The fish count at the dam has rising to well over 698,000 adult chinook salmon this year to date and a seven day total of 220,000! It's a very good year for returning chinook salmon!
