Sunny Newcastle - bit different to the UK version!
... trip to Port Stephens and he recommended Shoal Bay. Got the 8:15 local bus. The driver, Kevin, was really helpful (our own unofficial tour guide!) suggesting Anna Bay as a good stop off point for the Stockton Sand Dunes. Kevin helped us out loads with bus fares as there was no day pass - instead of us having to pay for another journey every time we got back on the bus, he radioed round all the bus drivers and told them to let us hop on and off...what a nice guy! Got talking ...
My legs can't take it anymore!
... If only I could have jumped in to swim along with them. This had made my day. It didn't matter what happened to the rest of the day or even if it had rained, I was totally happy!
I eventually got to Mereweather Beach at around 9 am after a long hike up the hill and back down again. I sat and watched some of the crazy surfers fighting against the waves before I headed back as I had booked a tram tour at 11 am.

She works at the local junior school where Oscar and Xander attend. She suggested Axel might like to go to school with the boys the next day. We thought it was a great idea.
