... two sweaty heaps in our hostel and spent a good hour or so relaxing and playing cards. That night our hostel was doing a free spaghetti dinner, so we killed time until 7pm, meeting some delightful Canadians and getting into a round of Head's Up with them. The common room was packed out by the time dinner was served, and I along with two other travellers (Lee and Paul) volunteered to wash up after dinner. The reward for this of course was we got to eat first! ...

Mary's Version:

It was a fun day. I think that both Greg and I were glad to just stop and enjoy where we were. Tina and Fred and Greg and I ...

It was called Von's Gustro Bistro, which had been in that location since 1912. They specialized in frics, also known as sourdough pizzas. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, so we asked the waitress what her favorite was. She quickly replied that the lardon and apple, so we said that ...

... encourage's customers to feed the seagulls and so equipped with complimentary fries and clam chowder (the chowder was for me) the seagulls impressed us with their acrobatics whilst we threw chips into the air which they dive bombed to catch. I don't think they missed a single one.

The tour reached its finale further along the waterfront and we are kindly given directions towards the space needle by Jake before he continued on his afternoon tour - the man does a lot ...
