Today was going to be a longer ride than the last few shorter legs. This was mainly to get round the large Port Hueneme naval base on the south-east side of Oxnard. It started so well with a huge brunch at Pete's Breakfast House, which was run by an English couple from Plymouth and meant to be a 'hidden gem'. Time to get back on the road first stop Santa Barbra. We weren't sure what to expect. As we rolled up to Santa Barbra the weather started to clear and we finally got to see what California life was like. We parked up and walked along the beach front. It was still not completely clear but it was nice. We walked along Sterns Wharf. It is the west coasts oldest operating wooden pier. There was not much there other than the usual touristy shops and a couple of bars.
