... sandals on all those sunny days a head! We keep asking each other " are we in Florida??" because this weather is not what we expected!! I'm not complaining though, I wouldn't want all you guys suffering through winter to think I'm complaining about a little rain & few cool days!! For the most part this trip has really been one long summer holiday - so far we have been very lucky weather wise. I think the photo's speak for themselves!

... it was not cheap to eat there these days. We weren't hungry yet anyways, so we continued down toward the waterway. There is a street that runs along the river aptly named River Street that is lined with trinket shops, kiosks and restaurants. Very stormy day in Charleston, SC today (and for the last 3 days in a row); and forecasted to be stormy right through Wed. So making today a driving day!!!

Charleston is affectionately known as "the low country", because the streets pretty much flood and close down whenever it rains an inch or more. Brilliant.

... 8211; there was only one stop, but they drove past a few of the key sights. The stop was at the Saturn V/ Apollo center. This place had a few films about what was going on at the time and then a huge range of artifacts from rockets and parts of space craft, moon rocks and spacesuits. There was lots to see here.
