Erin (and anyone else) I hope you enjoyed my John Green reference with the title there. I've got an hour now until I board the airplane to São Paulo. The flight is running on time! Eveything went exceptionally smoothly, once we found where to check in. My luggage was even under weight! Which made Mom, Dad, and I all question our strength, or lack of it, because those things felt wayyyy more than 44 pounds. We said our goodbyes, I ...

Had a great visit with them, which extended late enough in the day to get us into some rush hour traffic, so our drive back here took closer to an hour and a half than the 45 minutes or so ...

We're here in Michigan for the weekend. On Saturday afternoon, we'll have a memorial service celebrating Mom's life. It will be nice to see so many old friends and family that we haven't seen in a while, but sad that Mom isn't here to celebrate with us - gatherings and celebrations were SO her style!
