Wow!

I read about Fare Suisse on the internet and contacted the owner Beni by email after checking his website. We were picked up at the airport and transported to a beautiful place surrounded by gardens. Beni is a VERY friendly and nice guy who helps as much as humanly possible. He speaks at least fluent German (and Swiss German if you count this...), English, and French.

The room and bathroom we booked were spotless and new. The Fare Suisse is located in a secluded area behind a remote controlled gate (all guests get a control), i.e. it is very safe. The commons area of the guesthouse (terrace, kitchen, seating area) is fully equipped with cookware, refrigerator, tables, chairs etc and a great place to spend free time. Walking to downtown is about 15 min, walking to one of the few supermarkets in Papeete is about 3 min, a great advantage if you plan cooking yourself.

We recommended the place to others who agreed that it was classes better than where they stayed in Papeete before.

To avoid disappointments: This is not a full service hotel, so if you expect daily room service, 24h reception area (even though one can reach Beni at any time by phone, he lives next door...), or a bar don't go there. The room we stayed in was not air conditioned but the huge fan made the temperature comfortable.

I can HIGHLY recommend the place!!! There appears to be nothing even remotely comparable in Papeete for this price.

The perfect place in Papeete

Fare Suisse is by far the best place to stay in Papeete. From the from the free airport pick up, to the beautiful rooms and great location, I couldn't have asked for any more for my three day stay in Tahiti. I will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Papeete again!

Beautiful house in paradise

What i would say is it was a real pleasure to come there, very nice spacious light and clean house where you feel directly comfortable. Beni was very nice with us, very good welcoming. One of the best house i stayed and for a minimum price. Don't hesitate !!!!

Loved Fare suisse

stayed at Fare Suisse in Tahiti Fantastic stay. The accommodation was excellent!!!!! And this was within our budget too. I hope that more and more people are aware of this very special place.

Rooms were very clean. Hospitality was exceptional. It was close to the CBD. A stones throw to other islands. I would defiantly stay again.

After being in Los Angeles amongst the kaos, it was a way to kick your feet up and totally relax. The ambiance of the place made you feel like you were defiantly on a tropical island with palm trees filled with coconuts, kids loved it. Once again, thank you!!! Ben was a true host.

A lovely place to stay

My family and I stayed at Fare Suisse for only 1 night but we found it to be a comfortable and spotlessly clean accommodation with very affordable prices.

We arrived very early in the morning but this was no problem-we were met at the airport and taken to the guest house for free where we were allowed into our room straight away-a big plus when travelling with two small children !

Beni,the owner was very friendly and helpful-providing information & free maps etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Ideal Guest House in Papeete

The friendliness, efficiency and cleanliness of this guest house were great. We were met punctually at the airport at 8.00pm by Beni who had a big smile and a big sign with our names clearly written on it. We were driven to the lovely guest house where we had an airy, very pleasantly furnished room with two double beds. The bathroom was next door and we also had the use of modern kitchen/lounge/dining facilities. Beni was a charming host and extremely helpful with regard to tips on Tahiti, arranging sightseeing and other activities , exchange rates, local customs etc. The price of Eur75.- for the two of us together not only included the airport transfer and accommodation but also the transport to our cruise boat the next day. We felt very at home and would recommend the Fare Suisse to anyone as excellent value and only 10-15 minutes walk from the Papeete Market and Centre of town. In spite of this, it is in a quiet, residential area and apart from the odd rooster, there was nothing to disturb a good night's sleep. Breakfast was available if we required it and a supermarket was just down the road. Ideal acommodation and location in a city that has exorbitant hotel prices!

Muy recomendable

Estuvimos en Fare Suisse en diciembre de 2006 y la experiencia fue muy positiva. Beni es muy atento y el sitio es muy acogedor: una casa entre jardines a escasos minutos del centro de Papeete. Tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar con ellos la cena de Nochevieja a pesar de que ya no estábamos alijados en la casa, y no hay palabras para describir su amabilidad. Muy, muy recomendable.

Fabulous Stay with Fare Suiss

Fare Suisse is the ultimate accommodation in Papeete, Tahiti at the lowest price.

I can't overemphasize the quality of hospitality. Fare Suisse brought kindness with flair to my travels. I was welcomed by Beni, the hostel manager, at the airport. He picks-up every guest with a warm Tahitian welcome. I was well-informed and made to feel at home right away. Beni gladly helped me with any questions I had and offered his genuine advice.

The pension itself is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Fare Suisse provided all the luxuries of home. It is in an excellent location of the Capital.

Fare Suisse definitely surpassed my expectations. I would make it a point to return.

Nice place to stay

the guesthouse is so comfortable on the right spot in Papeete

just at easy (5 min.!) walking distance from the charming harbour site: a restfull and beautiful place in a cool breeze.
