Beth's flights from Vegas to Dallas to Birmingham arrived on schedule.

For some reason, Sue did not feel like cooking when we got home, so we ordered some Chinese and picked it up on the way home. We had only had a small breakfast and a snack on the plane until we got home. Dinner tonight was at 9:30pm.

Getting home, Chubbs was very glad to see us, but ...

... at Zion Adventure Company to pick up some specialized hiking boots and socks for a planned hike into The Narrows on Sunday morning.

So, we're looking forward to the trip! Nothing left to do but get ourselves to the airport tomorrow morning. I hope everyone enjoys the blog over the next couple of weeks. We'll be sharing a lot of photos, videos, and stories throughout.

Rte 6 is the 2nd longest continuous highway in USA; from Bishop, CA to Cape Cod. This PA scenic portion is 1 rolling hill after another with farm lands interspersed between forests, rivers, small towns of yesterday-year......and vista views of the fall foliage on every ridge. ... there The temperature has dropped and it was 3 degrees this morning but rising to 24 later on. Found a wonderful Boutique Brewery cum restaurant back in Corning for dinner and ended up sitting beside the owners, who were the parents of the wonderful drinks waiter who had been serving us. We are about 500 miles into the trip and are now camping just south of Watkins Glen in Corning, New York. Yes, Corning is the home of Corning glass.
