We are about 500 miles into the trip and are now camping just south of Watkins Glen in Corning, New York. Yes, Corning is the home of Corning glass. We got here around 1:00 this afternoon, set up "camp" (ok....pushed a few buttons and everything was set up) and then headed about 12 miles (in the Jeep) to Watkins Glen and on North to the ...

It is super hot and humid here - 93 degrees with 60 or 70% ...

The museum offers tours led by docents so we took one of those. It was to have been a one hour tour, but the docent really warmed to his topics so it actually ran closer to two hours. He had lots of back stories for the exhibits so ...

The train didn't prove to be a problem last night. We heard it once (and it was very loud) but it didn't come through more than once. We had a nice breakfast outside in the cooler, less humid air.

Now that we are back in the US we are taking the opportunity to return the GPS we bought in Fargo. At that time we had been shown a GPS with US and Canadian addresses and that's what we thought we had bought. When we crossed over into Sault ...
