We arrived here at our Thousand Trails Lake Tawakoni RV Resort (outside of Dallas) on Monday, after a 4+ hour drive from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Got all set up, and decided we'll head out to Denton and Alvarado tomorrow to look at the motorhomes they have in inventory. Fingers were crossed!
On Tuesday, we went to 2 dealers, and saw one coach (a Damon Tuscany) that we liked quite a bit, but it just didn't really satisfy all ...

Left Austin about 10am with a nice send-off from the family. Drove north up I-35 until Waco, then turned northeast. Stopped at Collins Street Bakery in Waco and got a really delicious sandwich, plus a blueberry angel food cake, and some coffee. ... is an acre of 'old faded grey’ farm buildings, still preserved in their original log construction, even the nearby well is operational. The site has tightly mown grass, very well kept for those who stroll around to relive the old wild-west.

... we don't hear the traffic noise like we did in Gulfport.  Midnight came and I can tell you that I have never heard rain, thunder and lightening as we had.  Of course we are in a tin box but it sounded like it was low and right over us but in 15 minutes it was gone and the motorhome was in one piece.
