... efforts that act as blinds. Highway landscaping programs have resulted in bushes, shrubs, and even rows of trees alongside the road, a sort of make believe landscape that cuts the traveller off from what one encounters on the back roads where people actually live their lives. The horticultural choices vary with region and climate but not by much. So you get 3000 miles of mind-numbingly boring scenery.

... the drivers quite aggressive in the urban areas......especially LA. We loved the availability of ethnic food as we love being adventurous in our eating habits.

As for living there....I would think it kind of oppressive. There are rules and laws about EVERYTHING, from where and how you can park, what kind of shopping bags you are allowed to have and that you must pay for them, to how big a soda you can have. It's difficult to keep up ...

... grilled the buns nice and toasty. Sammy loved her weiners..Jalapeno and all...she enjoys riding up front on PaPaw Tony's lap while I am driving..she loves the breeze blowing on her face..it was really hot today...after the cookout, we went to the over look...Great day!!! Only 2 hrs away from Nashville....easy day ...

... trip....ya gotta like that. And for about 20 minutes, I got to drive really fast in Germany.....before hitting traffic and construction.

The autobahn ain't what people think it is. It's not 100 mph everywhere. Fuel is not cheap...but the cars are all diesel. It was also cheaper (by about three hundred dollars) for us to rent a car at the Frankfurt airport, drive it up and down the Rhine, then drive it all the way to Munich, and buy fuel for ...
