We slept in again today before getting up for a shower and getting ready, then I put on my new jeans! I like them. They're very comfortable and nice! We organised some laundry then went downstairs to put it on. Our third day we hoped on a train and heading to Ghent. It was a bit of a mission from the station to the centre city and we probably should have got a tram but who knows how to use them.

Ghent, like Bruges, is very pretty and has a lot of lovely backdrops all along everywhere you look. It's not yet over run by tourists like Bruges so it was quite nice and quiet, pretty cruisey just walking round checking out the sights. We didn't do too much more really ...

... All of it is presented with a lot of reality and there is equal mention of the plight of the Germans who lost a large percentage of their young men in both conflicts.

Tomorrow, we head back to England on the Eurostar and will spend the last week with Helen and a short visit to Windsor and Oxford.Admittedly, getting tired of suitcase living but the trip has gone very well.
