A slow start, delayed further by an unforecast downpour. Start with a short, sharp shop! Then a walking tour. Very entertaining & informative Spanish (!?) guide. Spain used to (centuries ago) rule the low lands, & there's still lots of temporary & permanent Spanish visitors to Belgium.

... we all had a cuppa and a chat and just hung out for a while, until the neighbour, Steve, and his girlfriend came around. Karina is teaching her how to make glitter tattoos, so I ended up getting two glitter tattoos, of an anchor and a parrot, turning me into a butterfly pirate! When they left we just chilled out a while longer and Karina practiced another facepainting design on Darren, turning him into a very pretty pink kitty ...

        ... going along the canals.

We made our way along the winding cobblestone streets and walked passed the main centre, there was a couple of gorgeous cathedrals, and lots of horse drawn carriages passing by. We kept walking on the lookout for a nice café for coffee. We found a beautiful chocolate shop, have to have chocolate in belguim, and it was called the chocolate crown.

We ordered a hot chocolate which had this huge chocolate on a stick that ...
