Spent the last couple of days in Abilene, TX. Mostly uneventful drive, but we did have to stop a couple of times and fix a piece of weather stripping that was flapping around on the camper.

We arrived in town hungry with no food in the camper (yet again), so we thought we'd go out for dinner. We have a gift card for Olive Garden, and Dean loves ...

There just isn't much to write about while crossing this huge state on I-5. Texas is such a large, flat state. Weather: hot - high 90’s during the day to mid 70’s at ...

"Sweetheart" and "honey" was called to each new arrival as they were told to take a seat. A diner at the end of the counter jokingly hoped his eggs wouldn't be as cold as he was sitting in the blasting AC. Workers in heavy boots motioned for hot coffee to jump start their day. If the ...

... with a few technical spots thrown in. Cornering is definitely a skill that will pay off for you at this race. Not sure what happened for me but I started getting dropped on the start loop. I chased and chased, but never could make contact with the leaders again. I blame the hotel stay! It was pretty hot out there during the day, though, so I was happy to have air conditioning to sleep in. Next year maybe we will check out Abilene State ...
