We woke this morning to winds blowing at 17 kts in the harbor with light rain. By 8 AM it calmed and the rain stopped in time for us to go ashore and have breakfast at the Cuttyhunk Fisherman Club. We didn't sleep well last night due to the rough conditions in Nantucket Harbor, winds blowing 15 kts. But we wanted to be up early anyway to leave by 7:45am to catch the favorable tides in Vineyard Sound. As it is, my prediction was correct and we got a push of 2.2 kts. This not only gets us to our destination quicker, but saves on fuel. ...

We arrived earlier than expected in RI due to heavy rain in NY. We stayed last night at Foxwoods, and then drove to our apartment we are renting for the summer in Warwick. Its nice to be back.
