... room of the home on April 12, 1945. The last stop is a view of the painting being done which was never finished. Some years later the artist (Miriam Elizabeth Shoumatoff) finished the portrait from memory and got it almost exact, except that she painted the tie blue and not red as in the original. Pretty good memory after so many years.

The town was cute, some nice shops and lots of bikers having a get-together! A fun day.

Year 2, Day 121 Calloway Gardens. Unfortunately not the most beautiful time for us to be going to the gardens, but it was fun to see. ... hot. We heard about raptors (an owl, two hawks, and a vulture) which flew over the crowd during the presentation.

Callaway Gardens is huge. We drove our vehicle to see the many sights. We visited the chapel, the horticulture center, the vegetable garden, and other sights. We walked 4.5 miles today. We were very tired.

... her at the gas station when she pulled out a cigarette before getting in the car. It was almost 3:30 p.m. and we had not reached our destination, which was closing at 5:00. She saw the anger in my eyes as she put her cigarette away and jumped in for the departing ride to Senoia, Georgia where scenes from The Walking Dead were filmed.
