... ourselves into the holiday spirit. This meant that Casey was able to indulge her inner Julia Childs! We utilized every pot and pan at least a dozen times and then some. Gravy, side dishes, and a plethora of soups were made and consumed. Then there was the washing of the pots, pans and the sundry cooking utensils! By the end of our visit, I think it’s safe to say that we broke in their newly renovated kitchen big time!

It's a long 4 hour drive from Savannah back to Atlanta so we are breaking our journey in Warm Springs. On the way we call in at Ockomugee near Macon to stretch our legs. ... room of the home on April 12, 1945. The last stop is a view of the painting being done which was never finished. Some years later the artist (Miriam Elizabeth Shoumatoff) finished the portrait from memory and got it almost exact, except that she painted the tie blue and not red as in the original. Pretty good memory after so many years.

The town was cute, some nice shops and lots of bikers having a get-together! A fun day.

We drove to Callaway Gardens, located in Pine Mountain, which is about 1.75 hours away from us. Our first stop was the Butterfly Garden for a lecture on butterflies and creating a butterfly garden.
