    ... and again there have been a lot of passengers getting on. Most seats are taken. Just looked at the map and discovered we are basically following the Connecticut River until it reaches the sea. It is actually quite difficult typing this as the train rocks along at a tremendous pace and there aren't enough stops to provide periods of stability!!!     ... while Jesse and Lin headed into town for some secret shopping. They bought us some Vermont momentos which was really lovely.     ... of New York State and saw some snow on one of the mountains (Mt Marcy perhaps?). Home down the Interstate which was much quicker than our earlier journey. Lin's parents and brother came to dinner so we had home cooked baked beans (in maple syrup which were very yummy), cooked ham, coleslaw and then I had cooked a pavlova for dessert.     ... We then had lunch in the restaurant and admired the view. Coming back down in the gondola there were a couple of 'interesting' moments when it stopped for no apparent reason.
