Today we had our boat ride over to the Aran Islands. These islands consist of 3 different Islands, and we were going to the largest Island- Inishmore. It was about a 30 minute drive from Galway to catch the ferry. The town the ferry left from looked very run down, but luckily the ferry boat was pretty nice. The boat was full and it was about a 45 minute trip to the island.

Today was our drive from Killarney to the small coastal town of Doolin. The first stop was the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The Bunratty Castle was established in the 900's as a Viking settlement and had passed through many prominent lords over the centuries. The park is now set up to mirror how the Irish lived during the previous ages and the grounds have small thatched cottages, a schoolhouse, church, and the castle itself. The park ...

Been so busy that I havent had time to upload photos!  So far here's where I've been. Dublin for 4 days, then to Kilkenny, then Cashel, Cahir, Cork, Midleton (for the distillery), Cobh, Kinsale, Killarney National Park, Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs of Moher, the burren, Galway,Conemara, Inis Mor. Now headed up to Belfast.

I forgot to quote Max on something truly worth mentioning.... We were walking back from Salthill in Galway and I was freeeezing. So I said brrr, I'm an icy pole. Max's response to this was... "does that mean I get to lick you up and down".... Guess you had to be there, but pretty funny all the same...
