    While being in the army we have tried to travel to things close by Fort Hood. We found this little slice of heaven one day while driving around. Marble Falls, TX. is beautiful. It's close by the water and has the best diner that I think I have ever really tried. My favorite is their Pecan Pie. I have never had any better pecan pie then ...

    After breakfast, we packed up bathing suits, towels, water, snacks and other items, piled in the car and headed back to Johnson City and Pedernales State Park for a day of rock climbing and swimming.

    ... tame of the animals, mainly deer. One thought Dylan's shirt was dinner and tried to eat it off of him. After spending time in the petting zoo, you board an enclosed trailer and head off through the "wilds" of central Texas. We saw many different deer, antelopes, rams, camels, ostrich, one lone bison, zebras, water buffaloes, emus and others I can't remember. One interesting thing, they have several cabins people can rent and stay in the middle of all the animals.

    ... got ready to go to the pool. The water was nice and refreshing and all the boys seemed to have a good time. After about an hour of swimming, Drew and Aaron went over to the jump pillow while everyone else stayed at the pool.

    Today Lynne planned a wonderful ride through the back roads. The ride should have covered about 200 kms, but we got turned around several times and had a real challenge to find the road signs. We were travelling around on country roads so the access ways looked the same as the farm accesses.
