Something funny from the hotel....when we checked in there was a small package with a picture of a cable car and the words Ding Ding on it. I thought it was a shower cap, Dan thought was a condom, and when he finally opened it on Sunday we found out it was earplugs to block the sound of the cable cars! Dan asked for a couple of extra pair to take back with him. We enjoyed San Francisco and plan to go back someday.

We hired bikes to ride up onto the Golden Gate Bridge. Riding up was a huge challenge. I'm skipping leg day for at least a fortnight... haha. There were plenty of other riders doing as we did. Once we got to the bridge, we decided to cross it. Now this was a problem, as it was only about 6 ...

... com, a service where you rent either rooms or furnished homes from other users of the site rather than using hotels or hostels. This will be my first time using the service, so we'll see if we stick with it or not. I also will likely be driving over much of the trip rather than taking trains, as it is quite a bit cheaper to do so with three people. I'll also be using train service in several spots as well. Finally, I also don't usually travel with my family, at ...
