... years old. the hike was a little over a mile, and the path was wonderful. There was even a suspension bridge over the river along the path.
We left the Grove of the Patriarchs and kept going west on Stevens Canyon Road until our next hiking stop at the Box Canyon where we hiked down to see Cougar Falls. ... I was a hair distressed, perhaps lightly annoyed. I'm not one to flip out. Such is life. Inside? I was seething with frustration and irritation. I get it. I know Obi is probably super distressed by the fact that his home is being systematically dismantled, and everything he's come to know is entirely different. I know there's some deeper dog-behavior message he's sending.

... a park/trail around the falls with great informational plaques describing the falls & city's history. And this is what I love about traveling. I had no idea that this place even existed, let alone it's rich history and how it related to so many people in that part of Washington. I was thrilled my uncle had taken me there. It was so unexpected and just the kind of thing I'd wanted to do that day. My heart was happy.

... shop and had the tires rotated. They did a complete car check for free also and only found that the battery is going bad, but I knew that before the trip and plans to buy a new one when it starts to have issues cranking over in the morning. But for now...a few more thousand miles, hopefully. Also talked to the manager about the town and state as a whole. He said if I decide to move to this area, buy a place in Washington.
