      ... up with mates and the goss back home. Our last day in North America on day 51 was spent on the beach all morning and then we treated ourselves to lunch on Ocean Drive as it's our last day. Drunk a bit too much alcohol however ( a gigantic frozen mango margherita with two bottles of corona in it) which then made us sleepy but we had to go home and pack up as well as learn some last minute Spanish words before we arrive in Peru tomorrow morning.       ... The size of the humans that were aboard was actually unbelievable. There were countless people that were too heavy to walk so they drove around on motorised wheelchairs and flopped onto the odd deck chair when they felt like some sun. Maybe it is true that tanned fat looks better than pale flat - but it's definitely true that you would need the fury of one thousand suns to tint a 300kg human.

      ... had rented a room off a guy called Nelson, who lives in an apartment which is only 4 blocks from the heart of South Beach, where all the action is. I am paying US $65 a night which is well under half the price of hotels in the area. After phoning Nelson to get further instructions on how to get to his place, I confidently strode the 2 blocks required. No 5.5km hike for me this time ?
